A Bit About Me
**NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS**
Emily is passionate about supporting young adults and women through every stage of life. She helps clients navigate transitions, build self-esteem, and heal from trauma with a compassionate and holistic approach. Trained in complex trauma and somatic experiences, she specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
As an ADHDer herself, Emily has a special heart for working with neurodivergent clients, especially those diagnosed later in life. She helps clients explore their symptoms and understand how they show up across different areas of their lives, from work and relationships to daily routines and self-image. Together, they build practical strategies to navigate challenges and work through the emotional layers of receiving a diagnosis, whether that brings relief, grief, validation, or a mix of everything. Emily understands firsthand what it means to make sense of your own wiring, and she meets clients with genuine understanding rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
She also weaves integrative modalities and spirituality into her work, drawing on tools like inner child work and healing to help clients uncover meaning and symbolism in their own lives. These approaches open up new ways for clients to connect with themselves and make sense of their experiences.
Emily strives to empower her clients to identify their personal values, guiding them to make aligned decisions and live more authentic, fulfilling lives. She is especially skilled in working with recovering people-pleasers and perfectionists, helping them to regulate their nervous systems so they feel calmer, less reactive, and more in control. Her goal is to help clients truly know themselves, gain insight, and break free from the grip of their past so they can move forward with confidence.
Emily provides clinical supervision to Limited Licensed Professional Counselors in the state of Michigan.
