A Bit About Me
Jessica Weick-Barnes is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker who is passionate about supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges with empathy, curiosity, and authenticity. She works with clients of all genders and has a particular interest in adolescents and teenagers (ages 14–19), as well as adults and couples.
Jessica’s clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, alcohol use, codependency, family conflict, and relationship concerns. She utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, empowered, and respected.
In addition to her work with individuals, Jessica offers couples therapy using an integrative approach that draws from multiple therapeutic models. Rather than adhering rigidly to a single framework, she tailors interventions to each couple’s unique needs, patterns, and goals. Her work is guided by flexibility, clinical intuition, and authenticity, with the therapeutic relationship serving as the foundation for meaningful change.
A central focus of Jessica’s couples work is differentiation—helping partners develop a strong sense of self while remaining emotionally connected. She supports couples in increasing emotional awareness, improving communication, reducing reactivity, and fostering healthier boundaries, allowing partners to move out of cycles of conflict and into more intentional, secure, and respectful relationships.
Jessica has also completed specialized training in supporting first responders—including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical personnel—who work in high-stress and trauma-exposed environments. She is trained in the PEACE Resilience Model, which equips her to help clients build resilience, regulate stress responses, protect sleep, and cope with cumulative trauma exposure. This training allows her to provide culturally informed, effective support for those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
Jessica approaches therapy as a collaborative process and believes growth happens when clients feel safe enough to explore, challenged enough to grow, and supported enough to change.
