Sherise Woolsey, LLPC
Psychotherapist
Drug and Alcohol Counselor
A hobby most people are surprised to find out I have:
There’s no budget when it comes to going to concerts!
My Favorite podcast:
New Heights — and for the record, I was a fan way before Taylor ever loved Travis! 🏈🎶
Guilty-pleasure food:
Chocolate-Glazed Donuts
What's on my playlist?
I’m an 80’s music lover through and through. Think artists like: Soft Cell or Neil Diamond — and you can never go wrong with Salt-N-Pepa or George Strait!
A Bit About Me
Sherise brings a background that is anything but typical. More than two decades of working directly alongside people in some of life's hardest moments working in the justice system, laid the foundation for the clinician she is today. She isn't sitting across from you with clinical distance. She understands, in a real way, what it means to question who you are, to carry weight you didn't ask for, to grieve a version of your life, and to rebuild something that actually feels like yours.
She specializes in working with women navigating major life changes and people rethinking their relationship with substances—whether that means full recovery, reducing use, or just figuring out when it may became a problem. Many of her clients are dealing with more than one thing at once: the drinking and the anxiety, the substances and the depression, the divorce and everything that comes with it. That complexity is welcome here. Her approach is trauma-informed, grounded in lived professional experience, and focused on helping you find your footing without losing yourself in the process.
She is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) in Michigan. She sees clients exclusively via telehealth, making therapy accessible from the comfort of your home — or wherever works best for you — anywhere across Michigan.
